Lisu Tribe sewers in Chiang Mai, Thailand create each globe, made from leftover rayon fabric string used by sewers for what is called serging (a sewing term). Sewers create the string globes to utilize every part of the leftover material, instead of letting any go to waste.Living in makeshift housing right by a train station, this group of Lisu Tribe sewers is eager to improve their destitute situation through the production of crafts.
